COG Statement

Central Oklahoma Grotto is a non-profit organization and a chapter of the NSS (National Speleological Society), Cave Avenue, Huntsville, AL. 35810 and is dedicated to cave conservation and safety. Cave softly and safetly.

Newsletter Information

C.O.G. publishes general information in a monthly newsletter (The C.O.G.nizance -$9.00/year) and detailed cave surveys and related Speleological items in a yearly publication, The Oklahoma Underground,(see below).

All submissions to the newsletter should be sent to the editor: Lil Town, 3208 Gettysburg Dr. , Altus, OK 73521. Telephone (580) 477-4027. E-Mail: oklmt@cavleone.net. The deadline for submissions for any particular month's issue is the 20th day of the previous month. If you wish material returned, please include a SASE with submission. All materials in this newsletter is available for reproduction, provided proper credit is given with the article when you print it. Trade publications are welcomed.

Membership Information

Membership is by sponsor and is $12 per year for adults, $9 for spouses and students, and $3 if under 18.

Publication Information

There are currently twenty (21) issues of The Oklahoma Underground published. Click here to see listings. Issues may be puchased by indicating which are needed, making a check out and sent to: C.O.G. c/o Publishing Department, 2624 Chaucer Drive Oklahoma City, OK 73120. NOTE: If to be mailed, please add $2 for postage for the first publication; $.25 for each additional publication. Thank you.

Meeting Information

Central Oklahoma Grotto meets once a month on the second Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The current meeting place is published in the newsletter each month.
